What is normally done on a person’s death anniversary?

death anniverseries are not allowed in Islam even chaleswaa isn't written in any Islamic books.. therefore please don't do it - It's a bidat!

Its even more confusing when you realize that Islam follows Hijri Calendar and our anniversaries (even death ones) follow solar calendar.
As Mc1 said, however there is no concept of death anniversaries but its impossible that you dont feel the pain even more of the loss of your love one on that calendar day. Best thing to do is to ask for their maghfirat and read some quran for them.
