Just a request

I want to request to Azkar bhai and TLK bhai that ppl who use word sad news about someone to not to use for something else as it scares readers. If they want their thread to be eye catching then use something else. Other than sad news.

Please restrict them to use sad news or words like that which give impression that he/she might have dead or something bad happened to that person.

quite a compassionate request gr8heera and I understand the reason of your request, but it might be hard, in fact impossible to ban the words 'sad news' from titles.

gr8, TLK has sad news for you. He cant ban the word sad news. Its sad news to hear this sad news that you cannot ban the word sad news from the title usage of the words sad news.

I think you guys didn't understand what I meant.

I meant ask ppl or make rule that ppl do not have to use word Sad news when it is not a sad news. Example not use sad news about such and such person when he/she is not passed away or sick or realy sick.

You guys made me laugh (sorry). I didn't ask to ban word SAD.

Thanks for explaining Wildhalcyon. No it's not sad news. I just requested take a right action on a wrong thing. It's their dicision act on a right thing or not.

That type of title gives almost heart attack to many not only me.

peeplan are already acusing us of taking their “freedom of speech” and you want us to draft a rule to dictate how to express certain emotions and discomfert! why not simply replace GS’ logo with a swastika.

On a seriouse note, I understand your point of view, but we must understand that although we expect members (or any one in real life) to choose their words wisely, but we can’t go to the very basics of selecting or rejecting certain words, when expressing themselves. Besides certain emotions are relative and have different threshold for different people. e.g. Burning your dinner at mid-night can be a sad incident for some1, but it’s a routine for me. :o

there is a wide spectrum of emotional use on GS. Posters lose respect of their peers if they abuse the sympathy card. As TLK said, mods cannot do much in this respect.
