usually I am not that active on this site except on the poetry-“forum”, but I thought let´s change and become a talkative person
before bangin´ your hammers on my head, I´d be very pleased if you realize why I ask these questions…
is it normal in pakistan that girls and boys do have partnerships before engagement/marriage?
is it normal in pakistan that girls don´t have to wear a headscarf?
is it normal in pakistan to run discos?
at the moment only these questions rise up, but I am sure that more question will bang into my head! So be patient…
I am not the ultimative muslim, but I know where the hadd is! I watched into my german passport to see the countries where I had been. (Ok, there weren´t many :D), but when I saw a small piece of paper of Pakistan, I read:
** Islamic ** Republic Of Pakistan and honestly (I am even sorry for that) i had to laugh ma a** off…Sorry…
Answer please…Try to discuss with brain/knowledge…They have the power, not your tongue, in this case your fingers
hei! welcome new talkative numb!
no it is not...and here in peshawar..well i can't complain about how i feel that yes it is islamic republic of pakistan....i mean most, most gals cover very much, no disco, at least officially...
Its been 8 yrs now since i have visited Pakistan, so wont be speaking from my experince of todays time.
9 yrs b4, when i went to pak, in lahore, it was getting prominent about guys/gals relationship b4 any sort of engagement or wedding. I myself saw gals getting on a motor bike with a guy with whom she has no relationship except of Love.
But, if i ask ppl now, it is indeed getting common But in more developed areas, there are still the areas in pak that follow the rules of Islam very strictly.
If you see paki dramas, it is shown widely and openely the relationship/discos and fashion style in pak…it has broaden up a lot!
Most of the time when i see the gals dresses, i can’t believe my eyes…but then i let it go thinking yea OUR PAKISTAN IS DEVELOPING!!
Now, about covering head, doing hijaab…i must say this is done by one’s own will and this can’t be forced onto any gal/woman. In the beginning a gal must be told about hijaab which is th eobligation on us, but then let that perosn decide whether to do it or not!
Being in States, masha’llah i have seen many decent families that are very much close to Islam and also keeps the tradition of country alive.
yehh its becoming much more the norm for certain things to be happenin....my cuz's were over durin the summer and they had lots of stories about clubs and nights out that they had been on with their boyfriends and girlfriends...
i was honestly shocked at some of the stuff they were comin out with, funny really cos my parents are always worrying that being in the west i might be on the wrong path....
like always, ill say it again that these are the minor signs definately leading to the major signs of qiyamah.....not the end of the world but indeed dajal!
shweetdreams the problem with our new generation is that we take these kind a things for granted and make fun out of it, instead of taking it serious and creating a rebellion for it!
bhai jaan ab ager people khud dont wanna change what can you do? excuse my english-urdu mixture. there would have been a rebellion already if enough people cared to change it.
shweetdreamz, thats true wat if ppl dont wana change wat can we do.....but by putting up a good example of urself, we can indeed affect pocitively on our society!
If we r the one who goes otu and support all those good looking models up on a Runway show with almost have clothes on and have..if we go out and support all these sort a ppl...the instead of stopping it..we are encouraging them!

Do you think thats all there is to islam? well we might be getting more liberal and bold and sinfull but still we are muslim and lot more better then west. I am talking about the majority here ... . we don't drink, we don't have sex before marriage, we do our pyares, we fast, we follow teachings of islam.. to greater extent then muslims in west.
