Just a poem

What do you do when this world becomes tasteless
Something creative.
Create inner spaces.
Galleries for the artwork of Allah.
Become absorbed in the flavours of inner tastes.
When food becomes a burden.
When music becomes noise.
When beauty becomes a distraction.
When energies become apparent.
When you see no other way out,
But to remember and ask.
Call out or call in.
Soak the Heart
It is the sponge for the Infinite.
A doorway to Unity.
It is the Qibla for Reality.
The Orientation.
The focal point.
Ask and you shall receive.
When you receive, Recognize
That the Fountain is Endless.
You are a point in the black ocean.
A molecule in the inkwell of Allah’s Endless Power.
He chose for you His Scriptures.
We are hidden in the letters.
As the letters are hidden within us.
Read your inner self to doubtlessness.
To arrive at the Shore of Certainty.
So that you might reflect.

Girl,

This is beautiful. May I ask who wrote it?
The message is the esssence of spirituality, mysticism & gnosis:

"Call out or call in."

Meditate, as in loud or silent dzikr(incantation) of Allah!

"Soak the Heart"

Let in compassion, kindness so that you may touch others.

"It is the sponge for the Infinite.
A doorway to Unity.
It is the Qibla for Reality."

Become one with Allah.

"To arrive at the Shore of Certainty.
So that you might reflect."
Have union with the Light of Allah and become a perfect man.

he's right, it's a touching poem.
actually, it's more than a simple, touching poem.

hm, i get what it means when food's a burden, music is noise, beauty a distraction. It's like your numb with the things going around you..

Like the comparions of:
"Soak the Heart
It is the sponge for the Infinite"

&

"When you receive, Recognize
That the Fountain is Endless.
You are a point in the black ocean"

It's clear.

Yeah i really like it too..it is clear, and then at the same time simple and complex and so u can connect with it from any level. And the metaphors are amazingly ‘accessible’ and seem almost perfect.

‘When you see no other way out,/But to remember and ask./Call out or call in.’
When my servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them): I listen to the prayer of every supplicant when he calleth on Me: Let them also, with a will, listen to My call, and belive in Me: that they may walk in the right way.[2-186]

‘…Qibla for Reality.’

‘…a point in the black ocean.’

‘…Recognize/That the Fountain is Endless.’

‘We are hidden in the letters./As the letters are hidden within us.’<–

and then the last line says it all…‘so that u might reflect.’

Acha Bacha,

When people say 'Become one with Allah' they usually mean the state of mind and body where one's whole state of being is directed towards the pleasure of Allah swt. Being one with Allah swt, means to live Islam to the utmost of our capabilities...to be constantly striving for deen, and closeness to Allah swt.
