Quite a long time ago I visited this forum and logged in. A lot of things in my life changed. I don’t if old members still here, I only remember one name, something like tofiba.
Certification for Web Devlopers/masters/designers in Saudi Arabia (probably through online study)
Well I have a small question. I have few years of experience of web master and web development. I didn’t work in a team so that I cannot compare whether I am good in my job or not. To proceed more in this field I am thinking of some certifications. But very sad to say, in Saudi Arabia there very poor opportunities for education.
First thing it is very expensive as compared to Pakistan. Second thing it is discrimination, Saudis can get easily, non Saudis got troubles. There is an institute for I.T education that is about few hundred km from Jeddah in Yanbu city and still there are no classes there.
I don’t know if there are options for me to get certification course online, I believe if I go for certification, I must have that knowledge or education, I don’t want to go through Test King etc.
I search the term over google ‘certification for web developers’ and found some information on that.
- CIW
- Microsoft Certifications (MCSD)
- W3C certifications
- Brainbench certification
To go for any of them I must study them. CIW certifications and MCSD are healthy options. I don’t know if anybody here gone through these certifications. If you have knowledge about them please share it here.
The purpose behind this certification is to get promotion in my job in Saudi Arabian market, I am here and I have idea, there are opportunities.
