It is very easy to say all of this. What have you done about Muslims in Gujrat before pointing out fingers towards Junoon...
I am not going to argue about whatever you are talking about. But I would like to add, Muslims in India opted to stay in India and not migrate. This thing was seen by Jinnah more than 50 years ago. I hate to use this word. But they are suffering the consequences now. I feel for the people. I really do.
But I dont think Junoon has to go do a song about Gujrat. I think it was real great of them doing this song and trying to improve the image of Muslims and Pakistanis. All of us are not fanatics. And the world needs to know that....

Yes I know its very easy to say and type. The least I can do is worry and pray, and God knows that is atleast something. Unlike you, if a fellow Muslim came up to your leechar steps for help, you'd ask if they were Pakistani.
And that is very ignorant and pathetic to say that Indian Muslims brought it upon themselves. True they decided to stay, but what would you do when literally hundreds of thousands of mohajirs suffered the ultimate fate?
If you have such ill-will towards Indians, be frustrated over Junoon.
And I don't know what word you hate to use, but my friend, you just used a phrase.
Now, I have no problem when you said , "But I dont think Junoon has to go do a song about Gujrat. " But I don't think Junoon has to do a song about anything or anyone. Just shows where there hearts and banks are.
If they want to prove that they are improving the image of Pakistanis around the world, they should do something WORLDY. I don't know what that is but I think its more than just singing a song about 9/11 and thus cementing their goal of releasing an English album in the near future.
And indeed all of us are not fanatics, neither do we claim we are. All we have to be is considerate, loving, and caring. DOn't just continue building the wall of ignorance. Break the walls down.
lol.. Go contact Junoon at [email protected] and let them know what you think. I am sure you can criticise all you want sitting on the computer. Let me know what you will do about this...
Till then, enjoy "no more"!
Ok, I understand. Thank you for your considerate response. Silence is the loudest.
If you want, please do tell me other means of criticism.

just wanna point out one thing: wehn u say that the indian muslimz brought it on themselves, then u first shud consider Y they wud haev wnted 2 stay bak in india... i have relatives in india.. n the reaosn they statyed bak was cuz their parents or grand-parents weren't healthy enuf 2 migrate.. therefore, they made a sacrifice 4 their elders... there r millions of otehr reasons y theymight have chosen 2 stay in india...
secondly, ur point bout junoon... man, v understnad that u really like taht group n all... but here, v r not crititicing their music.. v r critisicing thier morals n values... not judgin them.. cuzi have nor right watsoever... but the way i c it, they r not goin 2 perform these concerts 4 the sake of pak.. but 4 the sake of MONEY.. for the sake of POPULARITY.. n for the sake if RECOGNITION..!!!!......
thirdly, srota agree with Y2M with wat he said in his posts..!
The way some idiots think...
I guess it was our moral duty to invade India and rescue the Muslims of Gujrat when these events took place... hah Afterall, y2mu and we Pakistanis are the true thakedaar and chowderies of Islam right!!! Y2mu, obviously, you dont have the brains to comprehend what these particular Muslims think about Pakistan... Use your head, Junoon would look like idiots if they dedicate a song to the opressed Muslims of Gujrat...
It was really funny when some fundo supporters, who were also junoonis were betrayed by Junoon when they condemned the terror attacks ;) I remember that 'The News' article, where junoons new music was critiscized and said to have diminished, apprently because they choose the wrong side ;)
I have not heard the song, but hats off to two former NYorkers Salman and Brian for this brilliant idea...

Spock, you ignoramus, I hate to repeat myself, so please refrain yourself, and re-read what I wrote in my previous posts. I never once
initiated that PAKISTAN must go ahead and invade India over Gujrat, because we have more than one reason to do as such. And since this is not a situation of Muslims, then why are we wanting to rescue the Muslims of Kashmir? If it is not a matter of them being Muslims, then why do we want Kashmir? Now, all of us have trangressed to new limits, but sometimes transgressions can reveal more than we want to.
Junoon, would look like idiots for dedicating a song to another tragedy, why is that? Why would they look like idiots? They did perform several times in India, in front of thousands of Hindus! Oh my GOD... let all the Pakistanis be enraged!!! If all the Muslims did in fact come over to Pakistan right now, Pakistan, as we know it, would never exist. The fundamental institutions and various supplies around the nation, we love so much, would cease to exist. Now, by not coming over to Pakistan, they are giving us a sort of benefit. Now, granted there are some Muslims in India, who do not think of Pakistan in a good light, and thats with any nation. But its unfair and naive to think that all Indian Muslims think of Pakistan in a bad manner just the same way the world would think all Pakistanis or Muslims are 'fundo' terrorists. It is just not right.
Again you are right, I don't have the brains to know what they feel, because whatever they do feel is in their heart, and only God and the person knows the true feelings.
Listen, to all the PAKISTANI fervents, I am as big of a Pakistani as you are. We in fact share the same birthday. I am as big of a human as you are, as well. But this utter disdain to human life, because they don't share a common border is UNPakistani. We should love our homeland, and we should love the creation of Allah (swt).

Y2mu, keep on resorting to personal attacks, as you made no sense at all... Do you want Junoon to make singles condemning and remembering the horrific Gujrat massacres??? They will look like idiots if they do that... The Indian Government does not even want to talk about these riots and you want your number one band in Pakistan to give them remembrance... Aqal ki baat nahee hai...
As for the rest of your lecture about partition, it makes no sense to this topic. Junoon performed infront of the Indians (whom you refer to as Hindus, as if there are only Hindus there) because they wanted them to perform, a fact evident by the success they got in India. However, have you ever seen an Indian artist dedicating an album to the Gujrat riots uptil now? No... And you still want Junoon to do that in Pakistan LOL
Spock!
Ever heard the saying " Tum rotay kuoon ho,, Bas humari Shakal hi aisi hay". That perfectly explains what Y2mu is trying to acomplish over here.
If Junoon is sing about September 11th. its there business. They spend the money, time and effort on recording the song. They are the one's trying to promote it! Whats it to Y2mu if they do so.
This post was started for the guppies so they can hear this song. And it took a turn when Y2mu started with the personal attacks and started whining. Like I said. Its very easy to whine on a forum then to lodge a protest with Junoon. And even if he does! What will be there answer. TUM KO KYA TAKLEEF HAY? NAA SUNO GAANA!
But its wonderful how we talk about one Islamic nation and even our own Islamic brothers support India's stance when it comes to Kashmir. Is that a sing of our Unitedness?
hye... k... not defending Y2mu or nething like that.... but watever's being discussed here... i.e. junoon's dedicatin a soon 2 watevver... well, i ask u... Y shudnt v discuss it.... in ur opinion, shud ppl jsut keep their opinion 2 themselves... the same thing v have been doing for 50 yrs.. the same thing which has caused us not 2 prosper... the ppl in pak HAVE 2 start discussing such issues... cuz discussions r one of the best forums of tryin 2 imporce ur knowlede...
alibeta, i understnd ur frustration, that the discussion has TOTALLY diverted from the topic... but hye... look at the +ve thing.. jsut due 2 reading all the posts ppl have written... well, i can say this 4 myself atealst... that i have gotten 2 know of others point of view.... isnt that a good ting...??... doesnt that help us understand ppl... n isnt this understanding the basis of all sol'ns????......

huh???... werent u the one who opposed personal attacks....??.. lol.. neways... plz do point out the places where i made a mistake in english...?..
I didnt make a personal attack. I was just saying that English sahi tarah likho as it is really ahrd to understand what you are writing and making sense.
Try an online spell check or something if you cant spell!
While i don't see a reason for Junoon to do a song about Gujurat, Ali it was you who made the comment about Gujurat not mattering to Pakistanis. Sehar mentioned that other tragedies have taken place so why choose a song about the US and then you followed it with your comment of it not mattering. Now i am sure you can see that you could have been a little more sensitive because for Muslims the incidents in Gujurat have been very relevant and the Muslims in India have suffered a lot from the Hindus. The point was never about a Gijurat song but just the fact that you could have been a little more sensitive to the issue of Gujurat because to many Muslims it was a tragedy, to many more so than the NY massacre so please think before you type.

and I answered to Sehar's stupid comment saying that Both Salman and Brian are New Yorkers and Pakistanis. So they feel close to this issue where Pakistanis and Muslims are being targetted as fundamentalists!
