some of their songs are OK…but after i saw their interview on asianet a few weaks ago they are just
not playing with any emotions…jsut wrote my opinion is mai konsa harj hai..
and this with Junoons Rock City..meri balla say Bush bhi challa jaye like i care..koyi kuwain main chalaang maaray ga to main bhi maar doon??? heheheh apnay apnay taste ki baat hoti hai alibeta…

Their music was good but eventually their personas/image took over their band IMHO. Now, they just go by their extremely loyal fan following who will smite any non-Junoon-loving infidel to his/her/it's unholy death at the slightest sign of any blasphemy.
There is one thing I've always wondered about and maybe some of the Junoonies here can enlighten me here. Backstreet Boys suck 'cause they don't write their own lyrics. Same is the case with NSync and other hordes of Britney Spears and the like. Now why is that Junoon sings Iqbal's Kalam or Sabir Zafar's or whoever and churn out hit after hit.
I mean heck if I were to start sputtering Iqbal's Kalam standing in my Mohalla, a lot of ppl would go hypnotic. Not because of little old me of course, but because of Iqbal's words which can only be described as being almost divine.
Anyways, enough of the rant! I think this is enough to set off a world war and a battle to death between the Junoonies and the non-Junoonies.
Music wise, I am a fan of Junoon, but their personalities especially ali azmat that Iam not a big fan of. who once said in the Gujrat earthquake fund raiser in India "There should be no Pakistan and India, but only one country"
That really pi**ed me off.
I was a big fan of their early works, but the past couple of years they changed their music style, more of a folk type, which I am not a real big fan of.

I have a question guys.. How do you know that what they show on Television is the truth?
Ever thought, not everything is always shown on TV. Editing, cutting, censoring, etc.
Who knows, maybe they did say I love Pakistan, but the television people didn't add it in?

I saw many junoon fans being converted into enemies after Junoon defended the Pakistani Government's moves in the war against terror; Does that have to anything with this hatred for Junoon that some of you are showing? Ostensibily the news has also taken a negative stance against them for reasons uknown to me, but I am sure its something other than the afore mentioned fact.
Leave aside their personalities, its the music which counts, and their music is brilliant, no denying that... Jazba-e-Junoon had the power to light up every Pakistani and thats something special...
I may not be a die hard junooni, but I know the power their music has...
Oh, and those wretched British/Indian 'Stereo Nation' idiots are coming back to Pakistan. We all know what happened in their last performances here, and that was very shameful. I urge everyone not to buy expensive tickets of that concert... Use them instead to attend some other concert by any Pakistani singer... Support Pakistani music, and be loyal to this country my friends...
