PakDayLA will be held at the historic, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, home of the national championship winning USC Football team and former site of the 1984 Olympics.
Spock, Sukhbir performed for 2 hrs+ last year. These guys will perform for at least that long, I hope.
Lusi, im sure there will be some sorta parade in NYC LOL
nefy: I hope Junoon isnt a no-show like Shehzad Roy last year. Make sure to have a backup :D
Ya well... Junoon is signed, and it should be on their wesbite soon. What else can I say, Junoon 90 percent are citizens and they fly in and out of the US, so I am pretty safe in saying...they'll be there.
Shehzad Roy, now thats another story, silly visa issues with him.
Thanks for your keen interest, well not only you, all have to understand, its very simple and straight, there are all kind of cameras, which do still and movie clips too, advancement in technology has introduced mini cameras built in Video, recording surplus hours on memory chips. Would you agree here? So if you do, then can understand the value of copyright issues dealing in United States,
Filming of whole event is been covered by company provide services to USC events and Football Coliseum, so let make it this way, overriding or breach of rules and regulation will face, part of huge penalty to organizers, and this is part of agreement.
Secondly due to security reasons as well, where hundreds of LA county Sheriff Dept officers and LAPD enforcement wont entertain, any kind of electronics besides cell phones.
Well let me tell you this, last year I was hold for hours, because of my camera, then finally permission was granted, my friend rules are made for reasons so it part of huge responsibility on organizers, instead of getting upset we should welcome it.
Beside from formal talk, let me ask you, are you planning to come? If you re? You re most welcome!
Just email me and I will take from there, only for friends here in GS.
YKKB, I myself have organized two concerts on my own, and last year I attended almost all the gigs in North America, and none of the organizers had a no camera rule. I mean even if they use those small still cams to make a few minutes of video, its nothing compared to what a professional video would look like anyways. I talked to one of the organizers last week, I should have conveyed this to him, people would enjoy it more if they had the option of taking a few photographs.
Btw, if you’re taking pictures, do post some here!
have u guys seen dus and that huge sports ground looks like the colliseum, i hope no one blows us up! is there gonna be safety provided and how much is a dham booth!!
call 310-483-7804 for booth pricing. Security will be at the top most level. If you go to any american concert in a huge stadium or huge arena like staples center etc etc. they have a no camera rules and as YKKB and 5abi know it is copyright issues. This inshallah will be the biggest South Asian concert in North American history.
