Junoon have been nominated in the ME Asian Bollywood awards, to be telecast live on Jan 21 2005 on ARY Digital from Dubai,

South Asia’s number one rock band Junoon has been nominated for the top 4 awards at the Bollywood Awards to be held in Dubai on January 21st. The leading stars of Pakistan and Bollywood, including Junoon, Hadiqa, Sonu Nigam, Ishaa Koppikar, Yana Gupta, and many others will be performing in the first Indo-Pak Awards show of its kind to ever take place in Dubai. Junoon has been nominated for the Best Band, Best Album (Dewaar), Best Video (Pappu Yaar) and Best Song (Garaj Baras) categories.
Junoon will headline the event, performing with Sonu Nigam at the close of the show. Junoon is performing in Lahore Karachi this month. After the awards, the band will fly to Kolkata, India for their first performance there.

“Apparently, according to Faisal, the boys at MTV don’t have a category for Pakistani pop, so all us brown people from south-east Asia have been herded together. Well, I guess it’s a sign of progress that a Pakistani act has actually made it to the nomination stage. Maybe in a decade or two we’ll have our own category.”
