this song brings back sooooo many memories!!! loved his band!!

He is just singing the lyrics of the songs without ANY musical instruments.

As far as I know - The songs that have lyrics about love, lust, passion etc are haraam in songs. And also music. But songs that don't take you away from god or in a trance state are fine. besides he only sang a line that says aaise zamee aur aasma in kay siwa jana kaha...dil dil Pakistan, without music and more in a naat sort of way...

Probably because because he didn't have any instruments playing. It's like nasheeds or spoken word, no instruments or maybe only a duff is used and there's more attention to the words. Dil Dil Pak is about love for a country, not love toward a person, a body part, etc. Patriotism isn't condemned and the lyrics aren't inappropriate either.
