i saw it last weekend...i was a big fan of the book which is why i went, i remember reading the book in junior high...anways the movie was kinda lame and doesnt do justice to the novel...they film in some pretty cool locations but i dont understand if he was supposed to be a superhero or just some random guy with teleporting powers...i thought the movie kinda sucked...

A friend told me “this whole movie is a big widescreen postcard” 
And I agree. Concept is pretty cool but the storyline is just silly. Good action scenes…some incredible effects…strictly okay acting by Hyden and Rachel…Samuel J is good though, I like his role. I’ll say if you like sci-fi flicks and you like to travel - watch it in the theatres.
