I was speaking to my paki friend at college about jumah and he says he skips it to do hw and uses the excuse “well I have a class right after so…”. This guy doesn’t feel bad about missing jumah and I never seen him at the msa room. I know I sounding like haram police but how is it that someone can miss jumah, a very important communal prayer, and not feel remorse? Whenever I miss jumah I feel guilty and feel like I should make it up somehow.
Re: jummah salah
Shaykh Muhammad al Ghazzali was asked,
“What is the ruling of the one who left prayer?” He replied,
“The ruling is for you to take them along with you to the mosque.” Be a caller, not a judge."
We all have our shortcomings and strengths and they are different for everyone. Try being a good friend to him and perhaps you both can work together to uplift each other spiritually and in other ways.

Faith is a very personal journey and everyone is at a different level.
