in a way yes…they don’t go to the Church on that day but lavish food is served over which they say ‘thanks’ to the Lord for providing them with bounties. this happens right after the harvest season…on the second Monday in October.
poor turkeys get slaughtered in huge numbers. even non-Christians [including some Muslims] prepare turkey that day to treat their relatives and friends who gather in the evening.
Thanksgiving is a statuary [gazetted] holiday in Canada and the US but in the US it is celebrated in November for some reason.
