..big fat batting pitches made in order to help Pakistani batsmen pile up big totals, all the while hoping Pak bowlers potency will disallow Indian batsmen from matching those scores. Of course the indian team is loaded with batsmen down to the number 7 spot, so they too will score some runs.
That explains the 2000 odd runs scored in the first match, and the 1200 or so in the second.
I hope Lahore wicket isnt as dead with 2 one days scheduled there. lemme check my tickets.
I too am getting tired of these runfests..its a bloody pain to watch some talentless bugger clobber reputed bowlers...
common guys give some level-playing field to the players..
yeah yeah....this is what indians will be saying if they lose the series....
come on guys...we all know that india has much better batting lineup than ours....so why complaint....and if indians cant score well on these wickets, then why claim that they r the best batting team in the world....
and btw, indians will have to come up with a better excuse than this....but on the second thought, i think u can never satisfy them...if we make bowling wickets, then they will complaint that we r doing it to help our bowlers......so let them bibble over this series, the way they want...

oh bhayee meray who scored 2000 and 1200 in both odi's
knightofhearts, I wasnt really trying to compare Indian batting with that of Pakistan. Its no secret, and neither is it wrong of home teams to prepare wickets that suit the abilities of their own players. I was merely trying to point out the fact that all these loaded pitches have taken the bite out of some of the most ace bowlers. BOth teams have some great batsmen, but 300+ for both teams in both the matches in both innings is not one of those rare occurences. Its something that was tremendously aided by dull pitches.
A good batsman can score on any pitch...but good bowlers cannot do much with dead wickets. Besides, Pakistan has a better bowling attack. I wonder why they didnt prepare better bowling pitches for them.
akbarkhan, the 2000/1200 run bit was an exaggeration, to highlight the insane number of runs scored in total...which in reality was 694 for the 1st one day, and 647 for the second, if Im correct.
