Judiciary wake up

Since for the last years more and more criticism and unsatisfactory views and remarks about our judiciary are coming out both from politicians, columnists or general public. The conduct of even the higher and apex courts have become a topic of such comments. I had lot of respect for higher courts. I never believed reading the negative articles about higher courts and believed those were merely to damage the judiciary in line what Bhutto did by arresting civil judge in Sanghar from within his court creating first example of the world. He actually wanted to defame the judiciary in the eyes of public knowing well it is the judiciary and army which has always protected the public rights. But for some time seeing the performance of higher courts I have myself become a little critical The first incident affecting me was when despite seeing the rowdy crowds in the court the same supreme court judges were of the opinion there was no proof of contempt of court.

How much respect and trust for courts is gradually declining was seen from a recent thing. Though it may be a minor thing but it is an opener for people who still believe or want to see the dignity of the courts. When ever there is any case like trains collusion, any mukhtarmi rape etc the demand has always been that Government may investigate the case through Judges and Courts. The Sunni Tehrik has recently demanded the Karachi Nishtar Park tragedy to be investigated through ISA and MI and the Tehrik has completely avoided Judges. This speaks a lot and higher court judges needs to realize this chaning tendency before it is too late., .
