2012 could be a year of judicial martial law. The way army and judiciarly are getting aligned against the government and the government’s unwillingness to implement court orders, the only way left for Chief Justice would be to ask the army to takeover and forecefully implement its orders.
Whether its right or wrong, the possibility is becoming greater day by day. What do you think are the chances?
Re: Judicial Martial Law
Dear mods
You can merge this
SC accepts plea against removal of Kayani, Pasha; summons federation stance
into this thread . Both are pointing to same issue .
Re: Judicial Martial Law
No sir, I am not referring to a particular court order. I am trying to discuss a broader situation in Pakistan which has been developing over the past few years.
Re: Judicial Martial Law
Pakistan needs to adapt to a presidential sytem, instead of the parliamentary system as clearly the rulers don't have ethics to follow the westminter system properly

You are right so I asked to merge the other thread into this ,which is only a part of this issue .

Do you have any name for president in that case ?
Re: Judicial Martial Law
Isn't that decided by elections? I just like the fact that separation of powers is built into the presidential system, unlike in a westminster democracy where the lines between executive and legislature really don't exist.

Not in case of PPP

I agree with largely technocrats **(people who are experts in their respective fields and who know what they are doing) as Federal Ministers.** In the US administration, some of the secretaries of state are technocrats rather than politicians
A Presidential system will also minimise corruption
Re: Judicial Martial Law
I'm agreed with op because we Alrrady rulling by three powers Army/cj/politicians any of two allied combination against single one win win game.

Unfortunately if Pakistan deploys that kind of system and President like Zardari comes at top, we will see clones of Rahman Malik occupying all ministries.
Re: Judicial Martial Law
It is quite depressing after watching this video. Had this happened in civilized countries including India, these guys including Prejudice and immoral CJ, would have gotten forced kick on their butts. But hey this is Pakistan, none have any respect for their people and its contstitution.
