Re: Judges to be restored on 12 May
When we know NS, AS, AH and Mush all have big egos and are corrupt in one way or another. Yet the people of Pakistan vote them. Why can't another corrupt, ie. CJ work, when he delivers the best to the nation among all farishtay mentioned above.
Why CJ is picked up?
And its not about personalities. Let CJ go home. But anyone who works like him, who works for public day and night is acceptable. Bottom line is that justice is the door key for true democracy and prosperity of this country. Otherwise this country will remain for elites only and anyone advocating for the current system will equally responsible.
Excellent!

I am surprised it only took 14 hours a day traveling from city to city politicizing the Judiciary.

How can an alleged lame President that only had days to survive after Feb 18 wield so much power.

Nawaz never learns - always setting dates and deadlines, that others later deny.
No date agreed in Dubai talks
Special Report
LAHORE - No precise date or timeframe for restoration of deposed judges was agreed in talks between PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif and PPP Co-Chairperson Asif Zardari in Dubai, TheNation learnt on Friday. Reliable sources said the two sides had in fact decided to constitute a legal committee after their realisation that a mere consultation with Khawaja Haris was not enough to deal with the constitutional issues. The sources said that certain circles within the PPP were unhappy over announcement of May 12 deadline for restoration of deposed judges by Nawaz Sharif on Friday at Lahore.
Similarly, the PPP leadership in Punjab has its reservations over distribution of cabinet portfolios and has also expressed resentment in this regard in their meetings with the PML-N leaders. They have also been asked to understand PPP’s importance in running the government in Punjab.

‘PPP not aware of May 12 deadline for restoration’
ISLAMABAD: PPP spokesman Farhatullah Babar said on Friday that he was not aware of May 12 being fixed as the new deadline for the restoration of the sacked judges in a meeting between PPP Co-chairman Asif Zardari and PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif in Dubai. “Several decisions taken in the meeting, such as the restoration of the judges through a resolution, the accommodation of a working judiciary and bringing a constitutional package … are true, but I am not aware of a date being fixed,” said Babar, adding that he could only comment on the matter after speaking to the co-chairman. He also expressed ignorance of President Pervez Musharraf contacting Zardari to express willingness to withdraw powers vested in him under Article 58 (2b).
