Judgemental muslims

Re: Judgemental muslims

The judgemental ones are usually the biggest hypocrites. I used to have a Qur'an teacher who would tell me on a regular basis not to wear trousers or any western dress to Mosque (I was always properly covered, wide leg trousers or long skirt and loose top) yet she herself would take off her hijab as soon as she was out of view from Mosque and tell us not to tell our parents..

Re: Judgemental muslims

may b the ones u knew do it for convinience sake but i hav been brought up in Saudia n i know the dress beneath the abayas r mostly very revealing. If Saudi govt giv these ladies permission to go out without abayas they'll leave goras far behind.

Re: Judgemental muslims

If I am allowed to 'judge' you, you are absolutely wrong in judging someone based on reasons you gave or perceived.

If you make tough standards then you will end up judging everyone.

Regardless of who is muslim or not, basic human nature is to hide the weakness and wrong doings and show off strong acts. It also does not matter if someone is from Pakistan or not.

How did you get the idea of Indian people what you wrote by the way.....I am surprised with your post.

Re: Judgemental muslims

**NJMasti **is making an intelligent point by using the contradiction strategy. Diwana, why don't you read what she wrote at the very end of her post. She is basically saying that she used to have preconceived ideas about various groups of people....BUT then she got to know them as individuals....and realized that her previous judgments were WRONG. And she's realized that it's better to worry about your own progress as a person instead of judging others.

You're overanalyzing her post, diwanay. Re-read. It's a deliberate contradiction/sarcasm strategy....sometimes even authors will use this in their writings.

Two of those three paragraphs/sentences began with "I think....."

So if you read those the way it was written then there is no over-analyzing.

If it was written in past tense "I thought" or better.. "I used to think".....then I have no problem buying your explanation. :)

Oh! just to let you know, I do know what sarcasm is. :-)

Re: Judgemental muslims

Last sentence where she says in past tense "I passed judgments too and each time they were wrong. So now I have stopped passing judgment" basically explains the purpose of her post. The last paragraph is her conclusion, which implies that while judgments are made....if one gets to know the person...he can be proven wrong.

Mixing up tenses (present to past) is a common language mechanics error.

Re: Judgemental muslims

hahahahahahahahahahahhahahaahha

smart diwana! This is one of the most rarest “catch”! I had used the word “think” DELIBERATELY because as I was writing it that’s what I was thinking - in “present”. By the time I started my last sentense - I had a “flashback” of all incidents - and realized that my judgement was wrong… not 100% but maybe .05%. :omg:

Anyways, I only worry about bettering myself. I am sure everyone passes judgement - even if you are busy “bettering” yourself.

So be “happy being judgemental” - but only after you have put your foot in others shoe/situation. That’s all I gotta say.

I must add… I had said I think Pakistani guys are two faced - Muslim at home, and haram outside -

^This is totally wrong maybe 50%… haha just maybe…

Well the other 50% I do give credit to Pakistani guys in our own families. They are truly a good model to be representing the good Pakistan :hehe: (guys that have comeinto our families due to marriages).

The other 50% of bad PAkistani guys are from college. They believe university is their home, and all girls going to University are “made just for them, to make them happy”. :frowning: bad bad boyz
