Iss se yad aya. I’ve never purchased a poetry book. Reasons:
(1) I used to get books (including poetry) from family and friends.
(2) The first poetry book I ever purchased was Wasi Shah’s ‘Aankhen Bheeg Jati hai’.. On my way from Urdu Bazar to home, I completed the book in Bus.. I realised that these poets are too much.. They fill their most of the pages in the book with two liners like:
Do ki bajae aaj maine banai hai chai ek cup
Afsos aaj tu bhi faramosh hogaya
With the advent of internet and availability of online books, I have very few poetry books (hard copies) in my collection.
