Re: Juda ho Deen Syasat say to reh jate hay Changayze !
Aah! The oft repeated and the most misquoted verse of Iqbal. Oh Behn Ji! You are rather over-simplifying this verse. Here is the complete (and often misquoted by Mullahs) set of verses.
***jalale padshahi ho kih jamhoori tamasha ho
Juda ho Deen Siyasat say to reh jatee hai Changay-zi
Here are the interpretation of individual terms:
- Jalale Padshahi – Rule of a dictatrorial (strict and always angrily tough) monarch
- Jamhoori tamasha – Circus of politicians in the name of democracy
- Juda –separate
- Deen - the truthful, trustworthy, tolerant, (Sadiq Amin, Rahim) based righteous path
- Siyasat - system of government
- Reh jaati hai – you are left with
- Changezi - Misrule of Gangez Khan like most of the tribal rules in Africa and Middle East. So Iqbal said in the two verses as:
verse 1 - whether the system of government is a dictatrorial monrchy, or a circus by politicians
verse 2 - If that system of government is devoid of righteous path (or the path of justice), then you are left with Middle Eastern style anarchic tribalsim.
However the Mullahs of today want to twist Allama Iqbal's verse as one (or all) of the following.
- Juda ho Mullah, Siyasat say to Reh jaati hai.....
- Juda ho Qazi Hussain Ahmad, Siyasat say to Reh Jaati hai...
- Juda ho terror, Siyasat say to Reh Jaati hai...
- Juda ho Mullah Fazlur Rehman, Siyasat say to Reh Jaati hai...
- Juda ho halwa Khor, Siyasat say to Reh Jaati hai...
- Juda ho taliban meanace, Siyasat say to Reh Jaati hai...
- Juda ho Osama bin Ladan, Siyasat say to Reh Jaati hai...
- Juda ho Zarqavi, Siyasat say to Reh Jaati hai...
- Juda ho Hamasi terror, Siyasat say to Reh Jaati hai...
- Juda ho Laskhar-e-Jhangvi, Siyasat say to Reh Jaati hai...
Anyone saying that Iqbal really meant one (or all) of these 10 (or more) from his verse, then they need to go get their head examined by a competent expert.
