Jubiliations aside, something to think about...

I have watched the 2nd and the 3rd ODI’s. Yes we won, but where was the killer punch?

In the second ODI, England were 130/8 in 30.1 overs. Why was England then allowed to take their total to 230 and stretch their innings to the 49th over? Why was Inzi worried about the over rate when He could have put in agressive fields and brought back his strike bowlers to finish them off very quickly? I was fuming the whole time. Inzi might be improving but he is still that lazy old bugger who takes it easy as soon as he knows he has the upper hand. The killer punch wasnt there. Woolmer should have spoken to him. Why would you bowl your spinners to get the overs out of the way quickly when you have your opposition reeling at 130/8 in the 31st over?!

Same thing in the 3rd ODI, England were 145/8 in the 32.5 overs. Why was the field all spread out as if Lara was butchering Bangladesh? Why was he still bowling spinners till 9 10 overs later with no luck whatsoever? I mean fine, we were winning, but why not crush them right there? Why let them bat for another 9, 10 overs and set a defensive field when he could have put agressive field settings and brought in his strike bowlers to finish the job right there??? Why not crush them? Why not beat them by a margin of 200 when you had the chance to??Killer punch was again missing!

I dont care how many matches you win or how much score you have on the board, if you are going to be half arsed like Inzi can sometimes be, it will come back and hurt you some day. I have seen Lee and Warne and Co. many a times win matches for Australia and I can guarantee you that if you dont kill them when you have a chance to, they wll come right back and bite your arse. Wake up Inzi!

KAB, you make good points.

I dont believe people can temperamentally change after a certain age.
I mean Inzy, Akhtar, Afridi etc are all the same people they were 1 Year ago. But like they say NOTHING SUCCEEDS LIKE SUCCESS.
