This trailer gave me goosebumps!! I want to see this so bad! Does anyone know if it’s been released in the US? My sister in Dubai sent me this clip, she’s seeing it today in IMAX!
Re: Journey To Mecca
I havn't heard of this movie but watching the trailer the name Ibn Batutta was coming to mind and it was about his travels. I look forward to watching this too, will it be in mainstream cinema?
Journey To Mecca
Yes, it is about Ibn Battuta his travels, and thirst for knowledge. My papa used to read to me about Ibn Battuta and tell me stories about him growing up, I'm super excited to see it. I'm in google right now trying to figure out of it is in wide release, will report back lol
Journey To Mecca
Ok, so apparently I’m late to the party…this had originally released in 2009 and played in an IMAX theater in my city in 2010!!! It’s not playing anywhere near me!! ![]()
I did find it on Amazon instant video though, and the blue ray is available for purchase on Amazin as well
Re: Journey To Mecca
^ This is what I was going to say, it was released in 2010 here in the UK. I didn't watch it though just watched this trailer.
Re: Journey To Mecca
Ooohhh wanted to see it for the longest time but never got around to it; I will try to download it...will send you the file?
CowBoy - not sure what do you mean by that statement?
if you are so smart, why do you post
Full hd version is available on YouTube, apparently
Journey To Mecca
Aahhhh!!! Thank you TLK Bhaiya!!! ![]()
I should thank you. Now I have something great to watch with the whole family. I did not know about the movie
Journey To Mecca
I got “goosebumps” because a)the story of Ibn Batuta has sentimental value for me as it reminds of me of my deceased father b) the cinematography and scenes of the Holy Kaaba look absolutely beautiful and c) because I was excited to find the trailer
Thanks for poo-pooing all over my thread ![]()
I can see reasons behind people, I can understand why someone could be indifferent, but not liking him at all seems like an ultra opinionated remark. Why would you develop a disliking towards someone from history who was a neutral person?
Journey To Mecca
The distance covered by Ibn Battuta during his travels is nearly triple that of Marco Polo. He is arguable one of the worlds greatest travelers.
We’re all entitled to our own opinions but as TLK Bhaiya said, to brush him off as a non entity or unimportant part of history is a bit extreme IMO.
And what exactly about my language offended you so?
PS…the fact there is a whole mall dedicated to him and his travels makes him even cooler in my book ![]()
Re: Journey To Mecca
Will watch this..thanks for posting KC!
Re: Journey To Mecca
Yes I have heard of this mall in Dubai ![]()
Re: Journey To Mecca
^Yup...I have been to it...I like it...it is very beautiful!
P.S. I like this thread once again :D
