Do you guys have a rule yet about whether people are allowed to take things from your journal and post them out of context on the forums?
Re: Journals
there is an option for making an entry PRIVATE. and if still it leaks out then you know EXACTLY where to go :)
Re: Journals
No, the issue is not about leaking out - everyone can see the entry if its public no problem. But are people allowed to bring those topics they see in those entries or actual entries out into the forum and quote with them?
Easy peasy question bhai. Easy peasy answer.
Re: Journals
I kinda agree with UncleF in the sense that if you have ur journal public then it should be open to "plagiarism" (in search of a better term). And if one doesn't want someone copying then it should be kept private.
Although I don't venture out much from the Tech forums, but I do read some posts outside from time to time :).
Re: Journals
The problem will still be there. Even if GS does put a password or secure it somehow, people like you on this board are retarded enough to give their password out to others and then go screaming ‘** How the hell did it happen’. !!**

Re: Journals
Um, no. I don’t hand out passwords, sorry. Dunno what planet you’re living on. ![]()
Re: Journals
Damn that was a quick response. re. I guess the result of getting banned from going into chat room ![]()
Re: Journals

Re: Journals
To answer the original question, to quote something from a public journal is similar to quoting something from a thread. There is no prohibition, per se. If its out of context and is important, feel free to provide the correct context in the ensuing discussion.
Re: Journals
Faisal you forgot your customary end of story, thread closed. :)
Re: Journals
^ and you folks wonder why she reacts the way she does?
Re: Journals
Geek Miaan, I will give you 2 more months before you understand PCG. Just be careful taking her side because she has the tendency of biting back and dissing the living shnitz of the person favoring her.![]()
Re: Journals
If Ms Pcg does not want anybody else to copy and paste her journal entries, i recommend she keep a real journal i.e. handwritten in a note book. Either that or stop writing journals.
Sincerely,
Captain Lota
