Journalists critising me will lose their jobs, warns Aitzaz

**Aitzaz furious with media, warns of Rs800m damages
**
ISLAMABAD: After being refused a judicial gag order against The News from the Supreme Court, **Mr. Ahsan warned that writing against him may cost journalists their jobs. **

Despite his repeated insistence, the Supreme Court told Aitzaz that no restraining order will be passed. He then told the court that he was considering suing The News for Rs800 to Rs900 million and intoned that the journalists of this newspaper will end up losing their jobs.

Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk told Aitzaz that whatever was published in the media had nothing to do with this case and asked him to keep these things away from this case.

Aitzaz said: “Sir, they have written that I am a liar.” Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk asked Aitzaz this means you have an objection over the language used in the article. Aitzaz said that he couldn’t fight the case if he was being declared a liar. Aitzaz then continued his attack saying: “This is ‘yellow journalism’ and the court should pass restraining order against it.”

Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk told Aitzaz that no order could be given on this. Aitzaz said that he was a senior officer of this court and was being maligned, so at least the court should give some observation against this. On his repeated insistence, Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk observed: “We do believe that this should not have been reported in this way as you are telling us. But, Mr Aitzaz, this is our observation which we made on what you had told us that you are hurt.”

The News proved Aitzaz wrong on the basis of document (Letter of Malik Qayyum to Swiss authorities) that even in this letter the government had asked the Swiss authorities to withdraw the cases and all claims against President Zardari, Mr Jens Schlegelmitch and all other accused persons.

This documentary evidence rattled Aitzaz who was proved wrong while asserting that the Swiss Supreme Court had closed the cases before Malik Qayyum’s letter. Aitzaz, instead of discussing this issue and proving his point of view as correct, started attacking The News and demanded a restraining order against the media.

Aitzaz has come back a long way from where he used to be a few months ago. His struggle for the independence of judiciary bore him such esteem that sent him to a virtuous league of statesmen which is not open to all. The dust, stirred by marching lawyers in which we unearthed a man who looked unscathed by the lust of power, has settled down long ago. Also settled in its job is the man we discovered and cherished during the movement. But now as work resumes and he has new clients, we come to realize that he actually had a distinction without a difference.

That is the only solution for madar pidar azaad third class black mailers journalism. In fact Imran Khan should have also sued Time Magazine for calling him international playboy recently turned into pious.

Re: Journalists critising me will lose their jobs, warns Aitzaz

Atitaz did not change nor would change. He was what he is and what he always going to be, that is a Liar, an opportunist, and a thug. Only thing changed is people who got mesmerised by Atetaz, and now some are realising the reality of Atitaz.

Re: Journalists critising me will lose their jobs, warns Aitzaz

It is far better to mesmerize Aitezaz Ahsan who is not hard core criminal like Altaf Hussain of mqm.

Re: Journalists critising me will lose their jobs, warns Aitzaz

Some are realizing, I already knew well before. :naraz: When people were praising him left and right during the lawyers movement, I did some research on the guy and let me tell you it’s amazing how much you can dig up on somebody these days. Knew it then and there, this guy was too smart for most people. Most people, I say, but not all.

Now that almost everyone know how opportunistic and clever this guy is, hopefully he will be cut to size (figuratively speaking, of course).

Re: Journalists critising me will lose their jobs, warns Aitzaz

LOL ... The fact is that when the media is unleashed to put the general public on trial outside the courts the officials are silent ... but when the same beast bites its own creators in the nether regions they lay claim to slander and want "freedom of opinion" to be curtailed. True enough a trial can be influenced if the media have called you a liar and true enough he should be given the right to sue the media ... and to be honest let him get a promise for a pledge that the media should grant him, but on the proviso that he is deemed innocent in the actual trial - If he is proven not guilty then the media give him his due as he gets off, but if he is guilty then the media need not pay him and he gets whatever sentence the judge would give him ...

I don't think you know what your talking about.

If you even knew half the dirty deals Jang are involved in, and what they are after, you would not make such statements.

Re: Journalists critising me will lose their jobs, warns Aitzaz

Your problem is that truth has become alien to you and you are no more able to listen and understand how truth sounds. I am sure If I say that we are living in the bestest of our times in PPP's regime, than you would instantly hit the 'Like' button. But I am sorry, I am not a jiyala.

Re: Journalists critising me will lose their jobs, warns Aitzaz

No I wouldn't. There are many things this govt has done wrong, and we are waiting for Zardari to go for the real PPP to return. I have posted that many time.

As for you, you are a PTI jiyala/nirale.

Making silly statements like 'Imran is not a politcian' and believing IK when he says 'i will end corruption in weeks'.

Who is the one out of touch with reality? Try to see what IK's actual plans are apart form the usual 'I built a hospital, so I should be PM, and I will tell you what I will do when I am PM' line.
