Joshandah for flue?

Has any one tried it- the kind that looks like its all roots and leaves in the white packet by Hamdard Johar Joshandah?

Re: Joshandah for flue?

I recently started taking it every time I got the flu - got some in the cupboard right now, but a friend told me at one time in Pakistan they found it had steroids in it, which is why it was so effective. Similar to the mercury in Safi story - so check up on that before you start dosing yourself with it.

Re: Joshandah for flue?

Nahi, no steroids in the one sooraj-mukhi is talking about. It is just dried up herbs. That is the only medicine my father ever takes and it has been very effective by him.

Re: Joshandah for flue?

I'm also talking about the hamdard johar joshanda. no doubt it is effective, but pakistan ki dawayon mein milawat nahi hoti?

Re: Joshandah for flue?

Cat woman thanks for the heads up- this stuff looks like a lot of roots and herbs to me with some seeds i guess. Hope its steroid free. It tastes ewww though- do u add sugar or honey?

Re: Joshandah for flue?

touch wood and please do not cast ur evil eyes on me, but I STILL haven’t had a flu or cold or even sniffling. Usually by this time of the yr I have suffered it atleast once. Thanks to the nurse at the clinic who gave me a free flushot :hula:

p.s. I hate joshanda.

Re: Joshandah for flue?

joshanda tastes vile!! sooraj mukhi, just hold ur nose and down it - dont think you need to add anything to it.

Re: Joshandah for flue?

I tried it once, never worked for me. Try taking Therma -flu, its a bit bitter but works real quickly.

Re: Joshandah for flue?

I'v only ever had Joshanda once when I had flu, and I must say it really does work. The taste is extremely sweet, almost sick like sweet, but it is medicine and you must drink it whilst pinching your nose.

My daddi puts it in her tea sometimes, that tastes a bit better, but not much.
