This chauthi is called ‘SatavoRa’ in Sindhi. Don’t know why its called so as it give flavor of 7 days (saat din). May be in old days, bride came to her parent’s home after 7 days or stayed there for 7 days.
In Punjabis, this is called Pag phera probably.
