usually investment funds, made of blue chip companies. The returns might be slow and small in the short term but much safer as risk is well spread out and you do get solid consistent returns over many years.

Nah I don't like the thought of other people investing my money. I want to have control over which companies I invest in. The problem is to find the companies that show the best potential for growth.

I'd suggest track the buying checklist, to check how good is the stock picking criteria that the biggest winners display at the beginning of changing their share price (usually increasing if they are doing well)
