Joint family

No, not the one who smokes joints together stays together, but the other one.

For guys, if you know that after marriage you will be in a joint family, what are your expectations of how you want your wife to be with your family?

For ladies, what would be your expectations of living in a joint family situation?

Joint family

Ive given enough lectures in nadzzz blog and threads so all I will say is expect the unexpected and give more than you want to take!!!

Re: Joint family

i will ask my wife to give respect to receive respect and to give love to receive love in return...also advise her to be patient and to be accommodating!

that's it! is it too much to ask? :)

Re: Joint family

for girls....have patience and ignore inlaws if they say anything inappropriate to you....dont make it an issue....forgive and forget!

Re: Joint family

Respect from both sides!

Re: Joint family

A lot of it depends on the family, mostly people make mistake by making joint family while they are very well aware that the family members wont go along very well with each other, its like putting things on fire, but if the family is nice understanding then it can work very well, with little guidance given to wife by husband about how to handle things. I thinks husbands can make things work very well if they keep a little eye on things for both sides rather than showing favoritism to their wife only or to family only. A good balance (justice) makes things perfect for everyone.

Re: Joint family

You let me down slims. I came into this thread with high hopes.

Re: Joint family

So long as his mum is not a crazy, obsessed lunatic who has got a voodoo doll of me with pins stuck in it, I think a joint family is wonderful - like heaven on earth!

Re: Joint family

As long as the sense of togetherness - in the true meaning of the word - prevails and as long as everyone respects each other and their privacy, it's all good.

Re: Joint family

for guys-always keep good relation with your inlaws....no matter how irritating your wife is :D(its not her parent's fault)

Re: Joint family

She must do her duty since she would know beforehand that she is going into a joint famly.

Re: Joint family

For me as long as his mum is willing to put up with my crazy, obsessed lunatic self who has got zero patience for anything, I think joint family is a wonderful idea. :DIn any case, son's got to be hot.
