i think all married women who have earned prior to marriage will feel odd takin money from ther husbands.. even i did .. but then my mom explained it in a very simple and matter of fact way… your duty is to take care of his home, his food, his clothes, etc… you do all that for him. in the same way.. its his duty to take care of u financially.. dont be foolish with the money .. its for both of you… but dont become a fakeerni either saying oh i have no needs, dont spend money on me…
after that.. it made sense and ive gotten better.. i get an allowance which i never spend cuz i save up for his bday and anniversary gift… he buys everything for me which is just how its meant to be.. we arent very well off and he has quite a few loans to pay off.. so for now its not overthe top shopping sprees.. but for everything else.. hey.. you knew that marriage would bring financial responsibilities for a wife and soon after a kid.. so pay up dude.

Seriously. It required a man to do the job properly. Aahmed is right on the money. There is a reason its a joint account and there is a reason why he doesn't check up on it. He trusts you. So spend it at whatever place he said too. Secondly every man says we need to save more. It comes with the territory.
