Not quite, its part of the turkish festival here, and this is one of teh events educating and informing people about this.

as far as commercialisation of sufism, dinn we already do it via qawali concerts and junnon :stuck_out_tongue:

..not to get in a religiosu discussioin s this was not the intent here, but the same statement can be applied to any group that considers itself muslim. refer to the thread on the 72 sects and see for yourself :)

err no this was part of the turkish cultural festival, where aside from turkish food, music, dances etc they had an event which showcased the whirrling derveshes.

well I saw it in one of Madonna's videos... can't remember which one.

I gess i'll see that in Turkey..... Is it really worth it though????

gooni depends, if experiencing something new is important and you like learning new things great. dont go it thinking it will be some rock concert or dance show. if you go with those expectations you will be disappointed.
