The American John Walton, reputedly the world’s 11th richest man, and the second son of the man who founded the US-based Wal-Mart retail colossus, has died in a light aircraft accident at the age of 58. He had a passion for flying and regularly piloted himself in a Mitsubishi executive turboprop. An experimental ultralight aircraft he was testing in Wyoming crashed shortly after take-off.
Re: John Walton is dead
Forget John Walton, Richard Whiltely from "countdown" died. how sad :(

Re: John Walton is dead
Oh yes, I was wondering when anybody was going to mention Richard Whitely
Ive always hated his show , but watched it (sometimes) anyway
and now I will miss him very much
(its amazing how much people are worth more when they are dead....well for a few days anyway)
Re: John Walton is dead
Gamma ..... I havent administered your slap today.
Re: John Walton is dead
richard whitely was a shocker, you cant imagine countdown without him. :-o
Re: John Walton is dead
Lady Daisy, how could you?! I love countdown. I’m ever so wonderfully brilliant at the numbers game and once, only once mind, i got an 8 letter word!!!
They’r still showing it on Channel 4, my dad says it pre-recodrd, but still. I think its rude.
Re: John Walton is dead
And me being the lazy lady that i am just waited for anybody to say Ive got the sum and than id say "I was thinking along those lines too"
they are showing those shows as a "tribute", lets face it if they didnt show them theyd just give us a old western film or one of those antique makeover shows
Ma mooli... nice to see we have another brit here.
Re: John Walton is dead
I guess those two old ladies who made the secret "recipe" liquer are dead toooo
Re: John Walton is dead
miz m, i dont think live's an option anymore. :)

Re: John Walton is dead
Ma ji, thats very disrespectful of you :nono:
I will definately miss countdown. I won’t miss Carol though, she was too good at Maths and her giggle is excruciating.
Re: John Walton is dead
^^^ Well I dont know, i had my suspicions about the Queen mum.... I think she died, and the wheeled out her stuffed body at the right moments... at the balcony etc...she had that fix smile you see.
they officially "deaded" her when the queen was going through a bad period just before her golden jubilee
perhaps tehy can do the same to richard... before they get someone better to take over
Re: John Walton is dead
Gammy Wammy, I dont think you have got the concept right
After your slap, i shall disconnect your late night satellite connection!
Re: John Walton is dead
What on earth is wrong with you Brits today? so much disrespect. She was the Queen Mother for goodness sake! (God bless her soul)
On the topic of our dear Queen Mum, Prince Charlie will be appearing on "songs of praise" later in the year, to do a TV special about a castle in Scotland in memory of his dear Granny. Isn't he sweet? bless him.
I really should stop watching "This Morning"
Re: John Walton is dead
mizz m, its whitely thats gone, not countdown. your missing the wrong things.
hey laizy. :)
Re: John Walton is dead
Yes you should!..... fern britton has been wearing these ghastly floaty chiffon things that make her look twice the size she is.
Ps, One was not being disrespectful... merely observant!
Re: John Walton is dead
They can't replace him?!
Lazy, Ma Mooli is a brummie (i think)...she speaks funnier that i do...honest!
