If you take this new role in the absence of this gal do you think your work on the projects you are working on will suffer then bring this fact into your boss's notice and fore warn him.
Show your bruises to this guy I am sure he will be shocked and will stop and will apologize to you. The other thing can be you try to stand out of his reach whenever you are talking to him. And stop kidding around with this guy that will save your skin too.
