I did FCPS in Anaesthesiology from Pakistan last year and currently Im looking for a job abroad.
I have heard that if I apply in ‘specialist pathway’ in australia, I will probably get an exemption of AMC, because of my degree. Can someone please tell me if they’ve got any kind of info on that. The official site of Australian medical council requires a fee of about 250$, before they can process such application. I was wondering if its worth applying for, or should I start preparing AMC straight away. Also, do I have to take both of AMC 1 & 2, or do I get exemption from AMC 1?
If someone can please give a feedback, I would be very grateful
Re: Job for Anaesthetist in Australia
The GMC is currently exempting FCPS Anaesthesia from the PLAB test, you can take the IELTS and get a job. Good luck.
