Hi brother Najam. Asslam oalikum. I used to watch your threads and quotes in gupshup and i really appreciate your participation a nd very just opinions. Dear u r very right but e very where is overcrowded. I am a permanent r esident in canada migrated a s a technical sales person and did some courses from canada too but no job to no w here. Dear i am really intrested to apply for HSMP can u guide me for that?. i ahve worked f or a multinational company in Pakistan a s senior sales executive for 14 years and graduated a diploma programme with business communication and accounting from Montreal canada.
I am well aware of this fact that there is no good opportunity for immigrants even in UK but atleast we can comparatively find odd jobs better than canada . Second the weather is not a s killing there and third i have some odd job opportunity there even the very second day of my arrival in uk.

so please if u have any information let me know. i s hall apply for canadian citizenship on 20th march a nd after that i s hall try to escape from this hell of snow and hunger as soon as possible

gujmon, sure u can apply for HSMP if u have proven track record in ur own field. But you might face some problem as far as HSMP is concerned because as u mentioned u are out of job at present. For HSMP u do need to be in job for 12 months before applying. I am not sure about the pay scale for Canada but its around $30000 or over PA. Please check the following if u qualify

(You dont need to hire their services for HSMP).

Though I dont usually advise people to migrate to UK, there are several factors as you might have read in my other posts, but major ones are UK is damn expensive, your might think u will earn 40K Sterlings but trust me u will need more than that for a normal living. London is where most of opportunities are & its over crowded, dirty and full un-wanteds. UK is getting racist too and race crimes are on the high etc. etc.

I’d advise that you get ur Canadian citizenship first before applying for HSMP. Holding a Canadian nationality will make a significant change to your status for other countries. Once u have ur Canadian citizenship (passport) then plan to migrate somewhere else.

Asslam oalikum and thanx for r eply and very hust suggesion. Dear i do believe that circumstances are same every where for immigrants. the problem with us(hundreds of thousands skilled immigrants) is that we quit our settled lives in Pakistan and are facing worst level of poverty and physical labour which w e were never used to. Second w e were migrated for better not for worst so these conditions are more pain full. for me as i mentioned atleast will not be a problem to find an odd job. Can u believe that w hen i was in school we need nonpaid internship to complete our graduation, and no body even accept us for interbship(four of us all asian and black immigrants). so if we have to live like labourers then ebery where is same.
Life as u mentioned, can u believe we r paying more than 70% of our total income for only housing 77% minimum in toronto and 69% in Montreal and extras. every where is s ame problem.
Thank you very much again for very just advise. I a m also planned to move after citizenship but just start to search mean time as it may take one year after application. One thing more, some one told me that w e can change our citizenship in uk?. is it true?

Step 1. Whenever you mention that you’re looking for a job, mention the name of your university. You go to one of the best universities in the world, you have to milk that fact.

I lived in London for 10 long years of my life and since leaving London I have lived in several other cities (mainly Amsterdam, New York, Toronto and Prague) for work purpose. Trust me London is so far worst & I remain to say the same as I said in my post above about London the nearest match to London in being dirty is New York but again its almost double the size of London.
