Yep, I talked to many people in Pakistan as well, and most prefer Musharraf over any of the leaders we have had before, and on offer as alternatives. Musharraf deserves 5 more years for sure.

I think you are confused. According to you she is the most corrupt person and in her tenure Pakistan was second country in corruption in the whole world. New tell me how she can help Pakistan with Mush? Bhaiay yeh logic meri samajh se bahir hay. Kash koi mujh ko samjhata meri samajh main kuch nahin aata.

I don't agree with you. This kind of arrangement is bound to fail very soon, bringing the country more anarchy. Either BB should come through peoples' vote without the dictator's support or stay where she is staying and enjoy her life.

nyah I am not confused the logic is very simple..
and corruption, its not just according to me, according to the Transprency INternational poll of pakistanis she is the most corrupt person.
how can she help Pakistan with musharraf, I dont know. I was merely suggesting that with the free media which was not around in her day and an active judiciary, which was not there in her era, she may be under more of a microscope than before and thus less hanky panky hopefully.
the way she can help is that she seems to have backing from US and UK, and with her anti militants stance, its more comfort to the pay masters. Plus it seems like she is fav in balochistan and sindh, musharraf is at second place in sindh and baluchsitan , first in nwfp and second in punjab.
Nawaz being zia's prodigy is a big liability, and good god we dont want to see MMA in power. Imran is a non entity.
so with western support behind her, a good percentage of pakistani ppl behind her, it may help. I think it can..more so than the other options. with musharaf kicking her butt every once in a while she will stay in line. you kow with him being teh least corrupt one of teh current major leaders per Transparency INternational report that surveyed Pakistanis, he may be able to keep her in check :)
oh yeah and the west can say that they are supporting a democratic pakistan .. yaaaay
I seriously hope [maybe in vain] that the "hostility" that benazir is expecting for getting bullet proof cars is really true.. Is ka patta safaya ho jana chahiye!

And what a point you raise. The mowed down soldiers. Musharraf killed them right? he was the one shooting them or was he the one slaughtering them, or maybe he was the one shooting the video on a handycam.
