In last few days, millions of people around the world watched three important events direct from Pakistan’s seats of power (National Assembly, Islamabad, NWFP Assembly, Peshawar, and President House, Islamabad), when Peoples Party supporters jingled, ‘Jeeyay Bhutto’ and ‘Jeeyay Benazir’ when Yusuf Raza Gilani was declared elected Prime Minister, he took oath of office and the NWFP Assembly was convened on March 28, 2008.
Both the Bhuttos, father and daughter, were leaders of Peoples Party and not of the entire Pakistani nation. Me don’t recognize them as an everlasting symbol of the country. So, I don’t want to hear those slogans from the Houses of national stature which belong to all Pakistanis.
Peoples Party secured a couple of million votes in a population of 160 Million. So how these couple of millions could impose their dictation to 160 Millions?
Secondly, if Peoples Party wanted to chant Jeeyay Bhutto and Jeeyay Benazir anyway, they should have also shouted Pakistan Zindabad, Qaid-e-Azam Paindabad

It reflects nation's thought process, how we are more about scoring points, personality-pujari, revenge and what not. Hopefully we will come out of this once democracy spreads its wings and people start thinking about nation instead of just party politics.

democracy SUKS. its an idea which can not be put into practical means. Because each government that comes has only 3-4 yrs. Every Party vows to change Pakistan before the elections and NEVER gives. Be it PAkistan, India, US or UK. The fault of Democracy is that few strong riches can back corrupt politicians with lots of money to carry out their propoganda, and make fools out of the poor and illiterates.
We need a Government system which is similar to company. That only CEO (PResident or PM) changes every 3-4 years regarding their performance.
The biggest blunder which is taking over Pakistan was breaking Pakistan into provinces., This was done only to please Politicans and make space further for more corrupt politicians. We dont need so many politicians. They are corrupt and self centerd.
