Jis ne kiye sharam

Jisne kiye sharam, uske phoote karam…

Sounds like a non-desi thought, but is a desi muhawra.

What do you think about the suitable usage of this idiom? I mean in what circumstances people use this muhawra?

Re: Jis ne kiye sharam

Re: Jis ne kiye sharam

Are you sure this sharam is just referring to takalluf in khana peena?

Re: Jis ne kiye sharam

i think it can be said in any takallufi situation but mostly in relation to eating.

Re: Jis ne kiye sharam

Can this be used for students who are not confident enough to raise questions before teachers?

Re: Jis ne kiye sharam

and your point is? :p

Re: Jis ne kiye sharam

This :

Re: Jis ne kiye sharam

sharam is refers to himmat, jurrat and jhijak as well.. we use it too much here… like this way “Jinnay kiti sharam, oday saRR gaye karam”…

so the different circumstances under which it is used are:

  • a person who have a best voice and he sings well and he could have become a legend singer…but his hesitation stops him…

  • if you need a job and your ego is not letting you ask the boss…

  • if you need some money and you not asking a person for it…

  • there is a student who delivers best speech and he could win the title but his fear stops him…

  • if a person like somebody :cb: but cant tell the other that he/she loves him when his/her life could be like a heaven  ( :rotfl: )

Re: Jis ne kiye sharam
