Salam,
I love talking about Jinns, so thought I’d finish up the topic with Part 2 on the Jinns. Part One can be found here → Jinns part 1
So the second part covers basically the interaction between us and them
This topic came up 'cause me and my family were sitting down one nite, and i decided to tell jinn stories, and trust me, i have tons! I don’t like those fake ones -however mine are all true and from reliable sources.
Although I’ve never been possesed or have had any experience (only one time) I have heard alot of stories from close kin.
So now I think we should understand what the Jinns are really about…and why such stories come about.
(Reference: Islam , specifically: Ibn Taymeeyah’s Essay on the Jinn translated by Abu Ameenah Bilal Phillips.)
The Intro
One thing we should understand is that Jinns are creation of Allah, like Humans and Animals.
Are you scared of animals? (well I know some of us but generally speaking)
You can see them, thats why you don’t fear them that much, especially when they are behind a cage…(then you really feel like you’re not scared of em
)
Well Jinns are kinda like that, moreso like humans. The only difference is, we can’t see them, and they have some abilities we dont.
There are good jinns, bad jinns evil jinns. I mean, don’t you see humans around you? There are bad humans, evil humans, and good humans. The concept is the same with Jinns.
The Good Jinns
See, like Good Humans, the Good Jinns will not harm you, or do anything against you…unless you do something to them.
***EMM AND CRESCENT Example ***
Lets take an example, Say umm EMM is a Good Jinn, very nice lil fella (:hehe: ) and she doesn’t do anything to harm anyone.
Now lets say umm…Crescent is a bad bad bad human. He purposely does things that we are not supposed to, lets say he urinates under a tree at maghrib time, which he shouldn’t be doing knowing very well jinns live in trees!
So now EMM the good jinn is trying to pray her maghrib, and right when she goes into sajda…well u know.
So even this GOOD GOOD jinn, will get ticket off…and since they have certain abilities unlike humans, they’ll do something to teach humans a lesson.
So EMM makes me Blind, by doing something with my eyes. Now poor cressi is blind he can’t see, and all the doctors can’t say whats wrong with him.
(NOTE: A Power like such is ONLY granted through ALLAH. Jinn Alone cannot control nature like such, but can curse a human to go through such trials.)
So now Cressi is blind, poor chap is mad cuz he can’t see where the address bar is, cuz he really wants to check his PM box on GS. He is also frustrated cuz he can’t read whats on the screen, and since his PMs are so important and secret
He can’t have anyone else read em either.
So now he goes to a learned scholar, or those who are blessed enough with seeing through curses and voodoo magic etc. And the mufti/scholar tells them that he has done so and so with a jinn, and thus he must apologize in order to get his eyesight back.
So Cressi does (he is really desperate to read his PMs ) and the Good EMM jinn forives him.
This was an example of an interaction between GOOD jinns and Humans.
Bad Jinns and Humans
A form of bad jinns exist, that are followers of Sheytaan. They are known as the “Sheyateens”. Their SOLE purpose is to take humans away from the worship of Allah. (Motto that sheytaan and sheyateen live by).
They are basically the part of Sheytaan’s army.
Yes its the Sheyateen that whisper in your ear when you pray namaaz. It is the sheyateen that give you nightmares, its the sheyateeen that whisper evil thoughts and its the sheyaateen that help the magicians and black magic doers.
And these are the Jinns that harm you **even if you do not do anything to tick em off. **
This may involve the following :
- Possessing you
- Aflicting harm to you
- Falling in love with you
See Sheyateen (bad Jinns) have one motive, to get you into shirk, and against the commands of Allah swt.
They do this by pulling their tricks on humans, for example a statue drinking milk etc (referring to the phenomena that many muslims even took part in-sadly).
So there must be a way to avoid the bad jinns? Yes there is.
KEEPING AWAY FROM BAD JINNS
You must remember its not just Humans that fall victim to the Jinns, its the animals and trees too, even inanimate objects.
And Islam has clearly explained to us concepts of the supernatural, jinns and all that other scary stuff (yes emm too :D)
**TIPS **
The way is very simple and easy. Just you say few words and Satan takes to his heels. The simple statement is ‘A`odhu Billahi Minash-Shaytan Ar-Rajeem.’(I seek refuge in Allah from the Accursed Satan). So as to get rid of satanic whispers, a Muslim is commanded to stick to reciting the two Protective Qur’anic surahs: surat An-Nas and surat Al-Falaq, as well as Ayat ul-Kursi and surat Al-Baqarah.
You can get them below:
Surah An-Nas, Surah Al-Falaq, Ayatul Kursi, Surah Baqarah
**Recite them Before sleeping (Surah Baqarah is an exception unless you can recite it all before sleeping). **
CONCLUSION (Hhahah you losers have been waiting for this, im glad SOME of you made it this far in the post )
The world of the Jinn is one which is both sinister and intriguing. By knowing of this world we can explain many of the mysteries and issues which bother us. By doing this we can avoid the extremes which the people have gone to; nothing being more extreme then worshipping others besides Allah. By learning the Tawheed of Allah, we defend ourselves from these hidden allies of Iblis:“Indeed he (Iblis) and his tribe watch you from a position where you cannot see them”
(Surah Al-A’raf 7:27)
Maybe there is a Jinn sitting in the corner of your room right now, or even one behind you. If so, then how will you deal with this creation of Allah? Learn Islam properly and you will be able to deal with all of Allah’s creation - and not just the Jinn. By becoming true Muslims and followers of Islam, the fear of Iblis, Jinns and anything else will leave us - nothing will touch the Believer unless Allah wills.
Wa’Salaam ![]()
Next time, Be more informed about jinns, and half of you (or mora than half) who are scared of the Dark, and “Jinns” Think again, from an islamic perspective, and truly ask yourself, Are they really taht scary?
When we have Allah in our hearts? :flower1:
No Human, Animal, or Sheyateen can Touch you, if Allah is on your side. For you’re always on the winning side!
