They are a creature just like humans with free will and live on earth they can see us but we can’t see them, maybe thats why people suggest they live in areas where humans aren’t. According to the quran they can travel very fast.
Jinns probably have culture and celebrate happiness and sadness like humans. Thats a guess though.
