Re: Jinn
I don’t know much, but almost all cultures got jinn’s concept.
Interestingly, I knew the origin of word ‘Da’in’ today. It was brought by Alexendra to Indus valley. Their godess Diana, which later changed to Dain. Diana was goddess of hunting and concept of ‘dain’ is also hunting creature, who hunt humans ![]()

Speaking of, the new Jinn movie is coming out this Friday.
Re: Jinn
I know they have tribes/clans/families as we do. Apart from that I don't know much about their culture.

I've seen the trailer for it. I wonder how the story is going to be. I thought the trailer was funny than scary.

Re: Jinn
Our culture views jinn as having a tribes, family, celebrations (ie. weddings and the like) and other things that we have. All of these things comprise culture, so I think it is fair to say they have a culture as well.
Interestingly though, in our culture the idea of shaperai ("fairies" is the closest word I can think of for this) is also quite common and I think I've heard more stories about that than about jinns. Is there a concept of fairies in Pakistani culture?

They are a creature just like humans with free will and live on earth they can see us but we can't see them, maybe thats why people suggest they live in areas where humans aren't. According to the quran they can travel very fast.
Jinns probably have culture and celebrate happiness and sadness like humans. Thats a guess though.

Saw the Jinn movie last weekend. I was underwhelmed...it was not scary at all and I found the script/storyline weak. A+ for efforts though.
Re: Jinn
I don’t understand the last thing you wrote since i don’t speak urdu but yeah i know a couple most are passed down from one person to another so probably aren’t reliable. What would you like to know in particular or do you just want the stories?

I’ve seen the trailer for it and read about the plot afterward. From the little I know about it, it didn’t seem like an accurate representation either.
