OK… So i have this remix of the song Jimmy aja from the movie disco dancer. So one day I’m listening to it in the car with my sister and her children. I ask my sister why the girl is crying at the end of the song. So we get into this whole conversation about the movie, on how Jimmy was a really popular disco dancer, and he got beat up by bad guys that broke his legs, so he has to learn to walk again, and than dance. So we came to the conclusion that the song pappu can’t dance Sala should have been Jimmy cant dance. So I had a similiar conversation with one of my co-workers whos said the exact same thing, “Jimmy cant dance sala” without me finishing the story…
But what there’s more…
So I work with this guy named Jimmy (Who is an African-American). I have worked with him for over a year. So one day out of the blue about a week ago, I said… " Jimmy you know they have a song about you in my country", and to my surprise he sings the song, with the exact same tune, and more of the lyrics of the song than I knew. So i brought the song up (ON MY BREAK) on you tube. I had my whole team singing Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy aja aja aja. Mithan also resembles Jimmy since the are both dark. Well not really but we all thought that was very funny. So now all day at work we sing the “Jimmy song” (that probably explains why we are not getting much work done.
