jihad.....

Re: jihad.....

The modern nation state concept has confused many muslim-nationalists.

Re: jihad…

The intention is between Allah and the one fighting, let us leave that alone for now.

Re: jihad…

Minime bhaijaan, “muslim-NATIONALIST” is in itself a confusing term.

Re: jihad.....

Captain and Faisal...whats all the fuss about?

Jihaad is for Allah's sake, and when you fight defending a Muslim Land, lets say for example the Afghan War. The Afghan War is the 80s was Jihaad.

You are fighting for the security and the freedom of the Muslims of that land, so that they can practise Islam freely. So it is for Allah's sake.

Re: jihad.....

And what if it is Muslim vs Muslim? Is it jihad vs jihad?

Re: jihad.....

^ only in Mad magazine

Re: jihad.....

Hence the confusion, in the modern nation state concept Pakistan and Israel are the only two countries that have used religion so bluntly. Where as after 60 some years only one has stood on its promise.

Re: jihad.....

Israel right?

Re: jihad…

The israeli-palestinian conflict isn’t jihad :hehe:
It’s a political conflict.

Re: jihad.....

^^ thanku

Re: jihad.....

PD some time you are such a chuDDoo, off course its Israel, do you see any other choice.

Re: jihad…

Minime BJ: Theek baat bataoon…jab aap ^ aisey boltey hain…toh bahout Shexy lagtay hai.. :k:

Re: jihad.....

here's the quickie...

**1. Killing a soldier of occupying army in muslim land, is Jihad.

  1. Working with the same soldier in relief effort, in disastor hit areas and saving mankind is Also Jihad.**

Although the second one is greater Jihad ... but it does not undermine the importance of 1st one. Becuase if we abandon the 1st jihad, historian will remember us along the same line as they remember Jews in holocuast

Re: jihad…

What about the last Afghan war? Iraq war?

Re: jihad…

what historian? :rotfl:

Re: jihad…

When its Muslim vs Muslim very likely at least one of them is a usurper (?) ie zalim, Muslims should support whom they think is “right” and it’ll be upto Allah to judge who was right and who was wrong in “jihad”

Re: jihad…

what is a “political conflict”? why did this conflict “start”?

Re: jihad…

The palestinians are not fighting to establish a shariah-ruled islamic state.
The benglas fought us not to establish a shariah-ruled islamic state.
It wasn’t a jihad from the bengla’s side, nor was it a jihad from our side. neither pakistan nor bangladesh follows islamic sharia laws.

Muslims who dont follow shariah can fight all they want with either muslims or non-muslims, but it dont make a jihad (the actual fighting kind).

If you mean the personal jihad of struggling agaisnt oppression, like, my jihad against my boss for discriminating against me is a totally different issue.

Re: jihad…

This proves the fallacy of fighting in the name of God. There is only one God, but you have opposing sides claiming their mission is His work. Fighting to preserve your faith and the right to practice your faith is one thing, but to claim God sanctions your fight just because there is one makes no sense.

Re: jihad…

Jihaad, of course.
