^ Many. Afghan War was probably the only war that qualifies as Jihaad in its truest sense, fulfilling almost all of its requirements.
Secondly, when u consider the effects of the Afghan War, it served to give birth to the many Jehaadi movements around the globe. From Jemaah Islamiah to the brothers in Eastern Europe, this monster was created by United States.
