Assalam-u-Alaikum everybody,
I need a reference, verse, quote or anything from Quran or Sunnah that talks about Jihad and nature/environment. I need to answer the question that if Muslims are allowed to destroy nature and environment in order to protect their rights i.e. in state of Jihad.
Any reply would be appreciated. I need to discuss this in my class and i am the only muslim in the class and i need to defend Islam.

The answer is NO!
Messenger saw strictly prohibited destroying trees, or other wanton killing during Ghazvas (wars-the most brutal form of Jihad). So no one can justify destroying environment during less bloody forms of Jihad.
While giving your class presentation, make sure you clearly disassociate peaceful Islam from the jihadi terrorists.
although there is a general ruling prohibiting the useless destruction of nature, BUT there is a sunnah of destruction of nature as opposed to the statement of antiobl. when people dont have evidence to support what they say, it is the peak of arrogance and ignorance.
