**PTI to wage ‘jihad’ against inflation, slavery to US
**
LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) held a large protest rally against price hikes in Lahore on Sunday.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan addressed the rally and laid out his party’s plans for a “jihad against inflation and “slavery to America”. He warned that inflation in the country was going to rise in the coming days.

Imran said that rampant corruption, too few people paying taxes, government over expenditure, excess printing of the Pakistani rupee, the elite safeguarding their wealth abroad and tax breaks for the rich were the major causes for rising inflation in the country.

The PTI Chairman vowed further street protests calling for an end to these problems. He cited a number of solutions the PTI would have undertaken if it was in power.

In order to impress the nation, Sharif government printed currency in an unprecedented fashion. While the lion managed to tame the energy crisis to some extent, it let inflation genie break loose of any bound. I hope pressure from the opposition parties will work in favour of the masses and government will take measures to keep inflation under control.

Re: Jihad against inflation

how was his rally in Lahore?

Re: Jihad against inflation

^^ like the pre-election rallies, it was nice shughal mela, tafreeh, poondi , rangeen mahol musical extravaganza.

Re: Jihad against inflation

Don’t know how successul was the actual rally but PMLN’s tactics would tell you how annoyed and frustrated they were. Three free concerts were organized by Punjab government to make sure youth don’t participate in protests against inflation but sadly concerts didn’t attract many people. PMLN calls PTI rallies as concerts and irony is they organise concerts themselves to stop people from joining protest rallies

PHA Lahore holds 3 concerts on same day as PTI rally
****LAHORE: As Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was busy hosting a large protest rally against inflation in Lahore, the Parks and Horticulture Authority put together no less than three musical concerts on the very same day in the city, raising concerns of PHA attempting to distract youngsters from the rally.
The three concerts had free entry and featured well known local artists.
The concerts, which failed to attract many people, were held at Jillani Park, Minto Park and Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park.
The plan for holding not one but three concerts was prepared on Saturday, with the PHA preparing banners for the concerts and putting them up near the parks.
The concerts were far more than local music galas as the PHA acquired professional hosts and comedians for the programs as well.
The concert held at Minar-e-Pakistan was hosted by Aslam Seemab while performers included Malko, Sain Zahoor and Nexus Group.
Renowned local comedians Tariq Jackson and Allah Rakha Pepsi also participated.
Gulshan Iqbal Park’s concert was hosted by Dr Sohail. It featured Falak Sher, Mazhar Rahi, Nasir Biraj and Arif Butt of String Fellows as musical performers and Hasan Abbas and Vicky Cobra as comedians.
The concert at Jillani Park was hosted by Yasir Qureshi. Musical performers included Rafaqat Ali, Bilal, Faisal, Ali Abbas and folk singers Shaukat Ali along with his son Imran Ali.

Re: Jihad against inflation

It's important to keep pressure on the government as Ishaq Dar does not seem to be interested in managing inflation.

Re: Jihad against inflation

We’ve always emphasized Pakistan’s importance in the region. We simply wish to see peace prevail throughout the region, especially Pakistan. We have shared interests in the region, and our nations are working together to counter the threat of terrorism. We are committed to restoring peace and stability in the region, and therefore, it is simply imperative for us to maintain a healthy working relationship. We’ve seen the negatives of not getting along in the past, and the need of the hour is to remain unified for the betterment of the region. Our leaders are meeting regularly to address our shared concerns. But it is extremely importance to not let any differences over shadow our common mission in the region. We certainly remain optimistic in regards to the future of our relationship and hope to work through any differences through regular communication and coordination.

Re: Jihad against inflation

You can start by stop providing shelter to the known terrorist and anti Pakistan Fazlullah who is hiding in Afghanistan , where your drones for some reason cannot find him. Stop pretending to be friends of Pakistan and than back stabbing us.

What this non sense has to do with topic?
