can anyone tell us what does the Urdu word “jheNp” mean?

usage:

“maulana saaHab ko jab saRak par ek ajnabii laRkii ne unheN salaam kiyaa to maulaana saaHab ‘jheNp’ gaye”.

I found this meaning from authentic dictionary of Urdu.

agar is lafz kaa matlab sharmindagii hai to maiN ne apne jumle meN lafz 'jheNp' kiuN use kiyaa?

is baareekii ko bataaiye ab aap log.

we got the meaning but now i'm asking the subtle difference between "sharmindagii and jheNp"...what's that subtlety?

embarrassment seems to be closer in meaning but what's the difference...explain in Urdu or english. :)

i said the word 'embarrassment' is probably the closest word in meaning to the Urdu word 'jheNp'.

i had initially asked about the subtle difference in meaning between the Urdu words 'jheNp' and 'nidaamat/sharmindagii'?
