Hello girls, I was hoping that you trendy girls from the US could offer some guidance.
My cousin has finished his studies in the US and will be returning back to Karachi. He wants to buy his mum some jewellery as a gift. His budget is $200. It doesnt have to be real gold But i was thinking it should be something a little special as his mum will value it as ‘mera beta amrika se laya hai’
He’s asked me to help but i don’t know whats on offer in america. I was thinking along the lines of soemthing crystally with pearls in a necklace kind of thing. not sure. He won’t get much gold for that money. (he is a student after all and doesn’t have a massive budget)
So could you recomend stuff and also pass on the website links so i could direct him where to shop in the US. He lives in Baltimore.
sign up for zales.com lately they have had really good deals
macys.com or just go into a macys store and sometimes you can get really great deals bc weekly they offer new jewelry specials.
james avery is known for their really cute silver charms and what not he could try that....
Re: Jewellery in USA as a gift for Mum
Skip the gold and the diamonds
I would advice him to get her a timeless pieces from jewerly designers like judith Jack (she does marcasite), David Yurman collection.
He can also do pearls but some women in pak don't wear pearls.
Stuff you can wear every day and are very very classy.
Re: Jewellery in USA as a gift for Mum
I think stick with gold and diamonds.. Women and pakistan in general don't know these designers in the US... I am not sure if your friend's case is different. For them dimaond is precious despite of who the designer is. The value the metal/gem more than the a US designer.
I suggest buy her a nice diamond. For 200 dollars your friend won't get anything too special but the fact that the son got HEERA for his mom from America is enough for the mom to make happy and value it.
