Jet lag

Does it affect any of you people?

For some odd reason it NEVER affects me in terms of my sleeping timetable or any tiredness. When I go to Pak, I land during the morning and I’ll be active like normal all day and sleep at night like normally.

What about you people?

Or am I just weird

Re: Jet lag

Nope it's never affected me neither... i guess health and lifestyle come into play again.

Also if your young you wont be affected as much the older you get the worse it gets.

If your used to flying it's not a big deal... but DVT is.

Re: Jet lag

When I fly in Airbus, there is NO jet lag.

When I fly in Boeing, I get lots of pain around forehead.

Re: Jet lag

Hmmm

Perhaps design and type of aircraft might have something to do with it too?

Definately some planes will be worse than others just like cars.

Re: Jet lag

depends how long your flight is.

if you're flying from the US to PAK...which is like 24 hours...then you definitely have jetlag and a screwed up sleeping schedule.

unless you are indeed weird :)

Re: Jet lag

You can call me wierd but Shak09 is not wierd… not compared to me :cb:

Re: Jet lag

Actually the time you arrive makes a big difference. Whenever you land in the morning you shall feel wide awake and able to sleep normally.

If you arrive at night - 100% certain sleep patterns are messed up.

Re: Jet lag

^ Yes, the person adapts to local timing faster if arrives in daytime.

However there is much more to that.

East to West and West to East travel affects more than for those who maybe flying south to north or north to south.

Also duration of flight has not much effect , but crossing time zones do.

For those who get their sleep on the plane close to the time of their arrival place, have less problem.

Those who drink alcool, tea/coffee or drink less water get affected more.

Re: Jet lag

When I came to Pakistan, I mean arrived in Lahore, I slept the whole day the next day. When I woke up had weird headaches. Adjusted after 2 days. Oddly enough, whenever I go back to Dubai, I don't feel jet lag at all but I am super excited :/

yes there’s huge amount of jet lag involved b/w Dubai and Pak. :cb:

Re: Jet lag

Explain? :aq:

I guess I am excited to just go back home to Dubai that I don’t feel jet leg after that leg of the journey :stuck_out_tongue: Pak → Dubai

Re: Jet lag

Ayesha,, u failed here :)

Re: Jet lag

jet lag occurs when you go across multiple time zones and accumulates significant amount of time difference b/w your starting point and final destination in a short interval of actual passage of time. Hence your body continues to operate in a “time lag” till it catches up with your current geographical presence.

time difference b/w Dubai and Pak?

Re: Jet lag

Dude I know what jet lag means :smack:

Re: Jet lag

lol

ok dudette, we can then leave it at the excitement factor

Re: Jet lag

Nope, never happens to moi. I'm usually full of energy and ready to run about
