**Hi there ladies,

So I am tired of my brown hair and want to go dark and I mean really dark. Anyone know of a good hair dye that will give me jet black hair? Preferably a hair dye I can buy from a store.

Revlon ColorSilk has really good results for going darker, and it costs no more then $4. Are you sure about going black, I naturally have jet black hair and honestly sometimes I feel like it washes me out and show every single skin flaw.

Oh really? Actually I love black hair...I think it stands out more and looks so beautiful..I heard Loreal Feria was good too did you try that?

Schwarzkopf Live Colour XXL is brilliant. I haven't used the black but have gone a rich brown with it..

only get it done if you have flawless skin. its gonna make you look much older tahn you are, and like belle said, accentuate every single wrinkle line you have.

I had jet black hair and it looked amazing on me ( as per the comments) but I'd suggest you to go to salon and have them do it for you, I tried doing it my self first and I wrecked it completely by leaving out roots etc, better done it professionally.

Jet black hair looks amazing on people with light skin tones.

Henna is really good to make your hair black. You can try black henna. They are available in most markets and it's safer to use them because they are natural and will have no side effects.

Has anyone heard of kala pathar? It is white in colour though. Supposedly it blackens hair.

i dunno some of my friends did that and really looked like evil witches bc the color was too harsh, they were fair skinned girls so i dunno i'd be careful. maybe u can photoshop a pic and check it out? i can explain how to do that.

salaam, I my self em very light and my hair is very very dark brown and sometimes (specially the roots) look black, what some sisters say is true i do look older at times because of the combination and your bad points on your face are pointed out. Now even though it is natural a friend of my thought that i had colour my hair send me the fallowing links some time ago. I am only posting it hair as a awareness for you of the islamic points so that you also have knowlegde of that. Hope you do not mind me sharing:)

^Yeah, black hair dye is haram, like hair extensions, plucking ur eyebrows, using false eyelashes and most things us girls love.. dark brown would be ok tho if ur religious..

black dye is haram and black mehndi is basically indigo that use in dying jeans and is a chemical. search on net for your satisfaction. henna has an orange red dye molecule. other henna are chemical.

Hmmm...but is it haraam if you already have dark hair and wnt to go darker or is it haraam if you have gray hair THEN you want to dye it black?

both i think, it is haram to dye you hair brown and so it does not matter if why you are doing it. I guess even the people that have realllly dark hair still do not have black hair.
