The cross has long been the symbol of Christianity, but theologian Gunnar Samuelsson is trying to turn that on its head. The Swedish scholar recently reported there is no evidence Jesus died on the cross, nor any proof the Romans were even crucifying people at the time of Jesus’ death.
A Christian, Samuelsson said his findings don’t contradict the Bible, because the accounts are not so specific.

^Something i have always believed this is just confirmation of my belief. :slight_smile:

The Romans did crucify people but in that era they just massacred or enslaved… the persians however nailed you to trees :whistling:

Or hung you by nails to dies slowly… the Romans were bad but the Persians were the best executioners.
